Tom has worked as a Training & Development Manager since 2000, when as Operational Skills Manager at a high street bank’s head office, he developed a bespoke Performance Coaching system, for high-quality 1-on-1 coaching and train the trainer sessions.
Coming from a predominately telephony and customer service background, Tom has worked with many levels of staff and management, both individually and with large groups.
Having designed and delivered more than 30 different courses to 2000 people over the last seven years, he is passionate about training design and delivery – using the most cutting edge training techniques, audio-visual and kinaesthetic learning, and participatory courses.
Since then, having worked in various aspects of hospitality and service with both national firms and developing businesses, Tom had honed his skills in the design and delivery of bespoke courses. All tailored sessions are very much aligned with the Company’s own mission statements and Core Values – from induction and orientation training, through communication and service skills to strategic management techniques.
Having worked across the public & private sector, Tom has specialised working experience with Corporate HQs, Law Firms, Banks, Investment firms, Government Organisations and Technology firms. Courses have been in delivering Soft Skills Communication Programs, Management & Leadership programs, Management Development Workshops (including Management through Objectives, Managing Change, Managing Performance & Managing High Performance Teams), Advanced Presentation Skills and one to one coaching programs.
Tom’s style of delivery is wholly interactive, focused on identifying and removing the reasons for underachievement, building communication and team working skills, and skills practice. It is Tom’s training ethos to tailor each session for the individuals attending – that way ensuring that each delegate leaves the workshop with the tools that they need to fulfil their potential.
Delegates say they leave the training room energised and armed with skills that they know how to use, as well as when to use, and are therefore better equipped to tackle the everyday issues of the workplace. Tom believes that learning can be fun and makes sure that the delegates in his workshops enjoy the learning process at all times.
