His approach is intriguing, through his music Miha revitalises the corporate audience's perceptions of their organization and its structure. He deconstructs great musical works such as Bach G Minor Fugue to show the development of human life and human organizations. Releasing people's thinking processes and generating creativity.
For bigger venues Miha uses The Surround Method, the corporate audience are sat within the orchestra in a checkerboard fashion. The sensation of being seated within the music is so completely different from the conventional stage-audience setting. In this set up a unique model is created. Using the Symphony Orchestra as his metaphor Miha opens up a dialogue on issues of synchronous teamwork and communication and effectively demonstrates the differences between rational corporate ways of thinking and approaching problems as opposed to the creative way of thinking which artists and musicians apply. Through 'active listening' Miha stimulates creative and lateral thinking within the audience. Corporate audiences have stated their quality of thinking becomes clear, strong and insightful.

Miha is also president of IDRIART, the Institute of the Development of Intercultural Relations Through the Arts, based in Hamburg, Germany. For the past 20 years Miha has been actively redefining the role of Art as creative force for peace and transformation of society. He has created more than 120 inter-cultural and trans-disciplinary festivals with his organization IDRIART. These festivals have taken place on all continents, mostly in crisis areas of the world like Tibet, Amazon, Eastern Europe before 1989 and of course in his native Slovenia. At present Miha is dedicated to develop an inter-cultural Center on each continent to serve younger generations, in particular the creation of their future.
Miha's appeal goes further than the corporate and business worlds he has received much media interest. Top violinist Miha is on a one-man mission to get managers to think out of the box by letting classical music into their life.
Miha teaches executives at companies such as Oracle how musical compositions are organized and ways to apply those principles to business. Last year he spoke, and played, at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Recently he had European Union environment ministers sit with members of an orchestra in Ljubljana (Slovenia’s capital) as they played to experience how leaders relate to teams.
Such exposure “builds up almost new organs of perception” in executives, says Miha, who will also arrange for a CEO to wield the baton. |
